Surry Hills, Commercial Bank building

The former Commercial Bank building is located between Flinders Street and Bourke Street at Taylor Square, in the inner city suburb of Surry Hills. It was built in 1910 and was previously home to the Taylor Square Hotel and once known as the T2 building. This building previously featured an artwork on its facade called "Always Was, Always Will Be" by Reko Rennie.

  2. I'm always amazed at architects and how they can make building unique; especially this one being round. Nice.

  3. Quite unusual for Australian architecture, but it would have been perfect for the Taylor Square Hotel.

  4. Very grand, but not overstated. I like it!
