Chippendale, houses (Theme Day: Neighbourhood)

These terrace houses are located along Kensington Street, in the inner city suburb of Chippendale. This neighbourhood once housed the workers at the former Kent Brewery, which had also been known as the Carlton and United brewery, the Irving Street brewery and the Tooth brewery. These heritage buildings have been retained and incorporated in the new Central Park redevelopment as a shopping and restaurant precinct.

    1. The restaurants are also open at the back and provide seating in the old laneway now known as Spice Alley, which is like a food court.

  7. It's great that they weren't just torn down to make way for something newer. What a great bit of history they saved.
