Surry Hills, Dove & Olive

The Dove & Olive is a pub located on the corner of Devonshire Street and Waterloo Street, in the inner city suburb of Surry Hills. This heritage listed building was built in 1876 in the Victorian Style and was formerly known as the Clarendon Hotel.

  1. Nice picture of a nice old buildings. Are there rooms or aparrments using the former hotel rooms? I spent a weekend in a small apartment above a pub in Lincoln, Nebraska, when i was young. It was a long weekend from Thanksgiving Day thursday until Sunday evening. She was off work the following Friday but I had to go back to work. I've lost track of her but we were extra good friends back then.

    1. Not any more, Jim. They are now function rooms upstairs which is what has happened with most inner city pubs these days.
