This pedestrian mall in Macquarie Street (above), takes up part of the main street of south-western suburb of Liverpool. It runs between Moore Street and Elizabeth Drive. The Westfield shopping centre was also extended on Macquarie Street (below) and on Northumberland Street, to now cover three blocks.
It certainly doesn't look very crowded!
ReplyDeleteSunday afternoons are not very crowded. Weekdays and Saturdays are very busy here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for getting back to me about movies and baseball. The mall looks annoying. It could be anywhere in the West. I want accents and kangaroos, if you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteNo worries Lee. I agree. The differences are what make the world a lot more interesting and the sameness makes it a lot more bland. I'm trying to feature a lot of what is unique about Sydney, but to give an accurate view, I think I also have to feature some of the more ordinary stuff.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice shopping mall then usual. So people do not shop on Sunday afternoon in Sydney. Your city must have much better attractions for a nice Sunday afternoon than shopping.
ReplyDeletePeople do shop on Sundays, but you're right, there are better attractions in Sydney on a good Sunday afternoon.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Westfield owns malls up here too!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea...cool shots!
m ^..^
Looks like a winner. ESHAY! Similar to Westfield Carousel in south-eastern Perth, and a similar demographic, I would imagine.
