Parramatta, Buttons Bridge

Buttons Bridge crosses the Parramatta River, in the western suburb of Parramatta. This pedestrian bridge was built in 1931 and links historic Parramatta Park to the central business district of Parramatta.

  1. It won't win any architectural prizes, but as long as you get to the other side it works for me!

  5. Nice shot! I like how it's anchored by the trees on each side.

  6. What a beautiful place. The reflections in the water are so nice. It is hard for me to believe that it was built in 1831. That has to be one sturdy bridge. genie

  7. An old bridge I'd like to cross. Especially when the sky is so blue, blue...

  8. It reminds of something I would see at a golf course. Everything is so neat and tidy.

    1. Noller Bridge is further south but also in Parramatta Park. I featured a photo of it here.
