  3. Customs House is a gorgeous building but what is the square in the front usually used for? Not photographic displays normally, I am assuming.

    1. There are exhibits and commercial promotions often set up in this square. I've actually featured a few before.

  7. «Louis» has been fascinated with the Sydney Opera House - it seems to be a most remarkable building. He would enjoy seeing these photos.
Looks of the building aside, «Louis» wonders if the acoustics in the building are as bad as they are in many other modern structures. For example, Le Corbusier's Chapel at Ronchamps, the San Francisco Symphony Building and St. Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco all have wretched acoustics.

    1. The Sydney Opera House has had criticisms about its acoustics too but this was due to not following the architect's original plans.

  8. As always, I am loving the choice of architecture for this week's 'feature'! Double bonus too, for historical images of SOH for pedestrians to enjoy and learn.
