Looking out on the Pacific Ocean from the beach in the eastern suburb of Tamarama. The beach is normally packed with swimmers and surfers on such a beautiful day as this but as the sign indicates, on this day the beach was closed due to dangerous rips in the surf.
Nie to see somthing, here we can see about a hundred yard in the fog
ReplyDeleteYes, it's really a wonderful beach!
ReplyDeleteAs John Irving said in The World According to Garp, "Watch out for the undertoad." Another great malapropism.
ReplyDeleteThe waters do look somewhat unpredictable. Love all the blues. Our weather is still cold, windy and grey on my Mornington Peninsula.
ReplyDeleteThe colours are beautiful and deep. I especially like how the lifeguard boats match the water!
ReplyDeleteI'm used to seeing them in yellow or red on most Sydney beaches but they seem to use blue ones in this area.
DeleteIt is still nice to see something that looks warm!
ReplyDeleteIt does look rough ... at Glamarama
ReplyDeleteLove that dark blue sky.
ReplyDeleteThe temperature here is -14°C. The sign would not discourage me from just sitting on that lovely stretch of beach.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard for me to imagine that since it hardly ever gets lower than 0°C in Sydney in the heart of winter.
DeleteAr least the people are adhering to the warning.
ReplyDeleteRip tides in the Pacific cannot be ignored! Glad for the warning sign.
