Macquarie Street, Australia Day CARnivale

The Australia Day CARnivale is an annual event organised by Supercar d’Elegance collaborated with the Australia Day Council NSW. This 1949 Ford Anglia Tourer was one of the cars displayed on Macquarie Street outside the Hyde Park Barracks Museum yesterday. The event, also known as a Concours d’Elegance, is a gathering of prestigious vehicles which extends into nearby streets and surrounding precincts.

  1. very nice....we have a car show near here once a year...thats a pretty cool old car...

  2. Nice picture, I love this wonderful old car!

  3. There were some down in ... mmm ... Hunter St (down as far as Chifley Sq) too, Jim. These were classic Mercs and some wonderful old Singers.

    1. Thanks for letting me know, Julie. I just wish I arrived there earlier and had a chance to see them all. I'll keep it in mind for next year.

  4. Great architectural landmark behind the antique car :)

    Happy Australia Day!

  5. Hi Jim,

What a gorgeous car, and I like the way it's fancied up with the blue flags.

    Happy Blue Monday!

  6. I love old cars for photo subjects. Great blue photo.

  7. What a neat car and with just a touch of pretty blues.

  8. Jim, a BIG tip of the hat to you for supplying «Louis» with the links that made his Australia Day CARnivale post possible!

  9. Old cars have so much character, fascinating!

Thanks for visiting my blog. Please leave me a message. Jim.
