Randwick, Rainbow Street Public School

The Rainbow Street Public School is located along Rainbow Street, in the eastern suburb of Randwick. This brightly coloured, heritage listed building was built in 1929. Today is the first day back at school for public school students after the summer holidays.

  1. Primary schools were built as substantial complexes, weren't they. Did the oranges and pinks come from the original 1929 design?

    1. I don't know for sure but it has been painted in those colours for as long as I can remember.

Anyway, nice school. Is it the original design of 1929?

  9. Lovely design for a school. I don't think I have ever seen a school painted in these colours either.

  10. This building reminds me of the school I went to. Love the tall windows and the architecture. All the buildings you post are so attractive.
