The tall ship Young Endeavour is moored in Conwong Bay, in the eastern suburb of La Perouse. The Young Endeavour was a gift from the United Kingdom to the Government and people of Australia in 1988 to mark the Bicentenary of Australia. The Royal Australian Navy maintains the ship and operates the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme, a sail training program to serve Australian youth with experience at sea.
How lucky are young sailors to be able to train on this beauty!

ReplyDeleteAmazing boat !
ReplyDelete«Louis» would like to see that tall ship. Better yet, he would like to sail on it! Although he grew up far from the ocean in the Texas panhandle, since childhood, he's had a fascination with the ocean.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful shot. Reminds me of rounding the top side of Bermuda to St. George.
ReplyDeleteThis shot reminds me of the Pirates of the Caribbean. I enjoyed the back story, too.
