Darling Harbour, Taronga Wild! Rhinos

This painted rhino sculpture is part of the "Taronga Wild! Rhinos" public art exhibition to raise awareness and funds for Taronga Zoo’s Black Rhino breeding program and conservation projects. It is located outside the Harbourside retail complex at Darling Harbour. "Time To" was created by Lara Johnson, an aspiring zookeeper and artist. It was sponsored by Dubbo City Council whose city's slogan 'time to smile' identifies with the plight of the rhino, and the knowledge that it is 'time to act' to save them.

  3. This is a great work of art for a good cause. Love the fact that Lara Johnson is both a zookeeper and artist. She's able to use her artistry to help the animals that she loves.
