St Catherine Greek Orthodox Church is located along Coward Street, in the eastern suburb of Mascot. The parish was formed in 1980 with services in the hall of St Therese's Catholic Church and a year later in the former Anglican church on Tunbridge Street. This building, completed in 1994, is a little difficult to photograph entirely so this was the best angle I could manage.
Steady as a rock!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I love that church!
ReplyDeletelove the rich blues in the sky...such a pretty backdrop for the church...nice shot!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good angle. There's a church here that's also difficult to photograph, but beautiful to behold. The one you've got here really looks stunning.
ReplyDeleteI see all kinds of influences o this architecture.
ReplyDeleteLove how you did the composition here with the massive pink brick building projecting into the blue, blue sky.
ReplyDeleteAlthough built in 1994, this church offers a classic shape, not too ornate but with a great dose of spirit. A lovely house of worship!
ReplyDeleteMe gusta la toma y su construcción.
ReplyDeleteGracias por acercarnos estos lugares.

Beautiful tall arched windows. This perspective highlights the grandeur of the building.
ReplyDeleteVery strong architecture here Jim.
ReplyDeleteAny angle is fine, as long as there are pronounced shadows---and there are!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful light and shadows supported with strong lines! Nicely Jim!

It is certainly an interesting structure.
ReplyDelete«Louis» imagines that the interior is quite striking as Orthodox churches seem to have very ornate interiors.
ReplyDeleteIn contrast, «Louis» found this church, built in the 19th century, in tiny (pop. 188) Elmira, California.
It's a nice angle. A lovely structure.
ReplyDeletei love all the windows. super neat design. ( :
ReplyDeleteNice shot! The arches throughout and the domed tops have a pleasing appearance.
