Botanic Gardens, Japanese Lantern

This Japanese Lantern is located beside the Lotus Pond, in the Royal Botanic Gardens. The pond is filled with lotus or water lilies at this time of year. The Japanese Garden was established in 1921 and features sandstone lanterns made by F.J. Read.

  1. Jim, there is a beautiful Japanese Garden in the Botanical Gardens in St. Louis, MO. I love the way they are always raked and so neat and tidy.

  3. Very peaceful. There's a Japanese zen garden here at one of our museums, but it's been awhile since I've photographed it.
