All Souls Chapel is an Anglican chapel in Rookwood Necropolis in the western suburb of Rookwood. It was built in 1926 in the art deco architectural style.
What a great shot of the chapel. I do wonder what the red column-looking part is. Your link for 'all souls chapel' is the same as 'rookwood' so I did some investigating and found it quite interesting!
I've fixed that link now, Betty, but the Rookwood website doesn't have much more info. I think that's a reddish down pipe to drain away the water from the roof.
I like its design.
ReplyDeleteThat's an imposing building - nice.
ReplyDelete...now, this is a style that I have never seen before.
ReplyDeleteI need to go back there one morning and shoot it from the front entrance because it looks so different from that angle too.
DeleteHi Jim, I am trying to get my blog going again, and heartily commend you for your interesting posts on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteAll the best.
