Guildford, fire station

This fire station is located along Guildford Road, in the western suburb of Guildford. It was designed by William Mc Niven, architect to the Board of Fire Commissioners and built in 1928 in the Inter War style.

  1. Just as well fire stations were purely functional buildings but at least this one has been well preserved.
There were some really lovely Art Deco fire stations designs in Sydney during the Inter War period,

  2. The building looks well looked after, not much space to park the fire trucks 😁
