This rock groyne is located on Botany Bay, in the southern suburb of Ramsgate Beach. It is one of the sea walls along Lady Robinson Beach that have been built to protect the sandy foreshore. A marker and light sits at the end of the groyne and a sign warns of the danger and for people to keep off the rock wall.

Nice view and interesting rock groyne. I never heard that term before, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteA new term to me too.
ReplyDeleteA strange word to me too, Jim. That water looks inviting.
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice spot, I'd be walking out near the end with my fishing rod
ReplyDeleteI should have mentioned that the sign warns people to keep off it.
DeleteWe have a few groynes in the South of Sweden in Scania.
