This artwork on a ceramic tile is located on the floor of the Wanda Surf Lifesaving Club at Wanda Beach, in the southern suburb of Cronulla. It features three surf rescue life guards patrolling the beach in their life saving caps and speedos, colloquially known as budgie smugglers.

They only eat burgers and drink beer, hence the body type.
ReplyDeleteVery different.
ReplyDeleteWell developed upper bodies on these men :)
ReplyDeleteI would call those BRIEFS, not Speedos. They can save me from drowning any day!!
ReplyDeleteSpeedo is the brand name that seems to have taken over as the description for swim briefs but we have a lot of nicknames for them in Australia and some are rather inappropriate. ;)
DeleteMy math teacher wore speedos (he was also our swim teacher). They had sqaures. You can guess...
ReplyDeleteQuite a fun mural :) Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Jim.
ReplyDeleteWhat tiny waists they have!
ReplyDeleteVery fit lifeguards.
