Waverley, statue

This marble statue stands in the grounds of the Uniting War Memorial Hospital, located along Birrell Street, in the eastern suburb of Waverley. It stands in front of the E. Vickery Memorial Building, which was gifted to the Methodist Church for use as a private hospital in 1919.

  2. There must be an interesting story behind this. Why is there a cherub on her chest? Why is she holding a palette? And who is helping her hold it?

    1. The sculptures here are magnificent but I can't seem to find any information on their history.
