
This helicopter was conducting a search of Little Bay Beach last weekend after a man was swept off the rocks by a rising swell, in the eastern suburb of Little Bay. PolAir, also known as Aviation Command, provides helicopter and fixed wing aircraft services to police with duties which include search and rescue, patrol control and reconnaissance tasks.

There are many bathers in the water. They must have wondered why the helicopter was searching so low and so back and forward.
