Darlinghurst, corner shop

This former corner shop with attached terrace residence is located on the corner of Riley Street and Stanley Stree, in the inner city suburb of Darlinghurst. This heritage listed building was purpose built as a butchery at ground floor with residence above around 1880, in the Victorian Free Classical Style. It is now home to Verde, an Italian restaurant and bar.

Richard Johnson Square, monument

This ornate monument is located in Richard Johnson Square, on the corner of Bligh Street and Hunter Street. It looks like it was used as a street lamp in the past.

Darlinghurst, Stonewall Hotel

The Stonewall Hotel is located along Oxford Street, in the inner city suburb of Darlinghurst. The heritage listed building was designed by Mansfield Brothers and built in 1880 in the Victorian Free Classical style as a branch of the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney. It was altered in 1959, 1962 and 1978 by architects Laurie and Heath as it transformed into residences and then a bar and restaurant. It took its name from the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar and recreational tavern in the Greenwich Village neighbourhood of Lower Manhattan, New York City. It was the site of the Stonewall riots of 1969, which is widely considered to be the single most important event leading to the gay liberation movement and the modern fight for gay and lesbian rights.

Kogarah, mural

This mural appears on the side wall of a shop on the corner of Queen Victoria Street and Warialda Street, in the southern suburb of Kogarah. "Cruise" was created in 2018 by artist James Kradphej.

Kingsgrove, St Ursula's College

St Ursula's College is a Catholic high school for girls, located along Caroline Street, in the southern suburb of Kingsgrove. The Ursuline Sisters came to the Kingsgrove Parish in 1949 when they were invited to take over St Bernadette's School at Bexley North from the Sisters of Mercy. Within a few years they had established a convent at this site and opened Our Lady of Fatima Primary School. St Ursula's College was opened in 1957.

Darling Harbour, boat

This boat is moored at Aquarium Wharf, the wharf outside Sydney Aquarium at Darling Harbour. It is painted with promotions for Discovery Channel, Shark Week.

Marrickville, Cooks River, sunset

This sky at sunset is reflected in the Cooks River, between the inner west suburb of Marrickville and the south western suburb of Earlwood. This view is from a reserve close to Undercliffe Bridge which carries Illawarra Road over the river.

Barangaroo, Westpac Place

A clash of heritage and contemporary architecture at the intersection of Napoleon Street with Sussex Street and Hickson Road. The sandstone and iron fence runs along Sussex Street. The stairs and glass lift lead up to a new footbridge over the road which link to the new developments at Barangaroo. Westpac Place is the skyscraper in the distance with the weather beacon barometer on the roof inside an illuminated white glass tower. The clearway sign indicates that parking is not allowed along the street for a special event this Sunday and parked cars will be towed away.

Paddington, Montrose Flats

"Montrose Flats" is located on the corner of Stewart Street and Gordon Street, in the inner city eastern suburb of Paddington. This heritage listed mansion was built in 1869 in the Victorian Regency architectural style. This house went from being a private mansion, to rental premises, a private hospital, flats and now having a commercial/residential use.

Moore Park, Sydney Cricket Ground

Both Sydney teams were in the Australian Football League (AFL) final on Saturday night, played at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) at Moore Park. The Greater Western Sydney Giants thrashed the Sydney Swans, in a one-sided game of Australian Rules football. The clock tower at the former Sydney Showgrounds, now Fox Studios, rises above the Bill O'Reilly Stand.

Marrickville, street art

Tin Lành Vietnamese Evangelical Church is located along Stoney Creek Road, in the southern suburb of Kingsgrove. It was originally built as the Kingsgrove Baptist Church in 1953. A Baptist Church had been on this site since 1875.

This catamaran is at King Street Wharf in Darling Harbour. "Inswiabon" is part of the Captain Cook Cruises fleet, owned by Sealink.

New South Wales Masonic Club and ANZ Bank Centre

A view of the New South Wales Masonic Club and ANZ Bank Centre from Castlereagh Street. The twelve storey sandstone building Masonic Club was built in 1925 in the Inter-war Commercial Palazzo architectural style. It was built for the Masonic Lodge as a Gentleman's Club with upper level hotel rooms, which are now the Castlereagh Boutique Hotel. The ANZ Bank Centre is a 46 storey commercial office building designed by Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp and completed in 2013. Much of the office space is used by ANZ Bank and it has a pedestrian plaza linking Castlereagh Street with Pitt Street which features a few restaurants and cafes.

Arncliffe, railway station

Arncliffe railway station is on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line, in the southern suburb of Arncliffe. This view is from Platform 1 and 2 towards the ticket office and entrances. In 2016, a shelter was installed along Platform 2, along with new stairs, lifts from the street to the concourse and down to the platforms, ticket scanners, benches, bins and signs. The signage across the Sydney Trains network has been upgraded to an orange colour scheme with a big "T" for Trains at entrances. Turrella, Cairnsfoot

"Cairnsfoot" is a heritage listed house along Loftus Street, in the southern suburb of Turrella. It was built in 1884 in the Victorian Italianate architectural style. In recent times times it had been part of a school for children with special needs.

St Philip's Anglican Church

St Philip's Anglican Church is bounded by York Street, Jamison Street and Clarence Street. This view is of the Clarence Street entrance with the Suncorp Place building in the background. This heritage listed church was designed by Edmund Blacket and built in 1858 in the Victorian Academic Gothic architectural style. It is the third church to be located on Church Hill on the site of the first church constructed in Australia in 1793 and is named in honour of the first Governor, Arthur Phillip.

Paddington, school (Theme Day: Teach)

Paddington Public School is located along Oxford Street, in the eastern suburb of Paddington. This heritage listed building was designed by G A Mansfield and built in 1856 in the Victorian Italianate architectural style. This is one of the two additional wings which were designed by W E Kemp and built in 1893 in the Federation Free Classical architectural style.
