Banksia, St Savvas of Kalymnos Orthodox Church

St Savvas of Kalymnos Orthodox Church is located along the Princes Highway, in the southern suburb of Banksia. This church building was formerly used by the Banksia Free Church, which broke away from St. Paul's Church of England in Kogarah in 1890 to form their own congregation. It became an Orthodox Church in 2016 and features a reproduction of an icon of the saint on the windows.

Alexandria, Sydney Park, wetlands

A couple of swans swimming across a pond in Sydney Park, a large recreational area in the inner city suburb of Alexandria. The former brickworks here have been transformed into parkland with four cascading wetlands that attract birds. Stormwater is collected and recycled from surrounding suburban streets to provide constant running water in the wetlands.

Pyrmont, Blackwattle Bay

Looking across Blackwattle Bay at sunset, to Anzac Bridge and the Blackwattle Bay marina, from the Sydney Fish Markets in the inner city suburb of Pyrmont.

Regiment Square, The Royal Australian Regiment Memorial

The Royal Australian Regiment Memorial is located in Regiment Square, along George Street where it once met Wynyard Street. This war memorial was created by Dennis Adams OAM and dedicated in 1976 to commemorate the foundation of Australia's regular operational infantry regiment. It consists of a gently curved wall of Sydney sandstone onto which a series of bronze bas-relief sculptures are attached to represent the soldiers of the original three battalions of the Royal Australian Regiment. An infantryman standing in the pond in front represents the nine battalions that served in South East Asia. It originally remembered soldiers who fought in Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, Malaya and Borneo. It has since had Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia and East Timor added. Today is ANZAC Day, which marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War in 1915.

Lismore Hotel

The facades of the former Lismore Hotel are located on the corner of Pitt Street and Wilmot Street. This heritage listed building was built in 1902 in the Federation Free Classical Style. It has also been known as the Johnston's Family Hotel, Joyce's Family Hotel and Currier's Arms Hotel. It was demolished internally and rebuilt within the original facades in 1997 as part of the Century Tower a high-rise residential development. It now houses a liquor shop on the ground level.

Darling Point, ferry wharf

A sunset view of Darling Point ferry wharf, which sits at the end of McKell Park, in the eastern suburb of Darling Point. The Friendship is a First Fleet Class ferry which is part of the fleet that operates on the Inner Harbour. It was named Friendship, after the one of eleven ships of the First Fleet that sailed to Australia in 1787.

Glebe, mural

"Memories of Trams" is a mural on the side wall of a terrace house on the corner of Glebe Point Road and Hereford Road, in the inner west suburb of Glebe. It was painted by Wallwork in 2017 and was interpreted from a 1953 photograph here by Lenny Manny. Trams ran along Glebe Point Road until 1958.

Randwick, Uniting Church

Randwick Uniting Church is located along Rae Street, in the eastern suburb of Randwick. This heritage listed church was designed by Bolster and Justelius and built in 1883 in the Ecclesiastic Gothic style.

Barangaroo, skyscrapers

Looking across Darling Harbour to the three International Towers skyscrapers at Barangaroo. They rise above apartments along Wulugul Way, behind Barangaroo Wharves as a First Fleet class ferry is seen making its away across the front.

This sunset view across the Georges River to Kogarah Bay features a private wharf in the southern suburb of Sans Souci.

Newtown, house

This former house built in the Interwar style is located along Church Street, in the inner city suburb of Newtown. It now houses a medical practice.

Drummoyne, Birkenhead Point, marina

The view from Birkenhead Point Marina, in the inner west suburb of Drummoyne. Across Parramatta River is the pump house for the former Balmain Power Station at Bridgewater Park in Rozelle.

Newtown, house

This contemporary building has been built at the rear of a property along Holmwood Street, in the inner city suburb of Newtown. With separate access here from Alice Lane, it seems to be a granny flat, so called in Australia for self-contained accommodation suitable for an elderly relative.

Newtown, warehouse

This mural featuring Aboriginal artwork is on a former warehouse located on the corner of Lennox Street and Mary Street, in the inner city suburb of Newtown. In 2014 it became a creative space called "A Loft Story" which is home to a hair salon and a rotating roster of pop-up cafes, retail concepts, beauty services and art gallery.

Ramsgate Community Church, hall

This contemporary church hall has been built beside the Ramsgate Community Church, which is part of the Uniting Church in Australia, located along Rocky Point Road in the southern suburb of Ramsgate.

The Pukka Plantarium is pop-up tea café which which promotes an organic herbal tea company. This green oasis of plants and herbs is located in the concrete jungle of Martin Place.
