Cruise Bar Rooftop, Vivid Sydney, Centurion

The Cruise Bar Rooftop at the Overseas Passenger Terminal has been transformed into the American Express Light Lounge for the duration of the Vivid Sydney Festival, which is running from 27 May to 18 June 2022. At the entrance to the bar is this large neon light installation of a centurion which is the symbol for American Express.

The Rocks, Australian Steamship Navigation Company building, Vivid Sydney

The Australian Steamship Navigation Company building (ASNC) at The Rocks has been illuminated with light projections for the Vivid Sydney Festival, which is running from 27 May to 18 June 2022. "Ninget Universe" was created by Luca French and Spinifex Group.

The Rocks, Vivid Sydney, terrace houses

 
These terrace houses are located along Harrington Street at The Rocks. The coloured lights have been installed for the annual Vivid Sydney Festival, which is running from 27 May to 18 June 2022. The site was originally the garden for the Colony Hospital between 1788 and 1816. These heritage listed Stafford Apartments were built by 1871. They are now part of the Clocktower residential and retail development built in 1989.

Sydney Opera House, Vivid Sydney, Lighting of the Sails

The Sydney Opera House is illuminated for the annual Vivid Sydney Festival, which is running from 27 May to 18 June 2022. This year's "Lighting of the Sails" features First Nations designs and is called "Yarrkalpa - Hunting Ground", created by the Martu Artists and Curiious.

Campbells Cove, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Vivid Sydney

"Future Natives" are animated light sculpture of stylised native birds, created by Chris Daniel. The colours change to represent the Crimson Rosella, Rainbow Lorikeet, Sacred Kingfisher, King Parrot, Galah, Sulphur-crested Cockatoo, Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo, Eastern Rosella, Red-rumped Parrot, Glossy Black Cockatoo, and Little Corella. It has been installed for the Vivid Sydney festival, located near Campbells Cove at The Rocks. The light show on the Sydney Harbour Bridge is called "Our Connected City" and was created by Mandylights.

The Rocks, Rawson Institute for Seamen, Vivid Sydney

"Bar Mille" is a multi-level venue in the Rawson Institute for Seamen, formerly the Mariner's Church, along George Street at The Rocks. This view from Circuar Quay West has been illuminated with colourful lights and projections for the annual Vivid Sydney Festival, which is running from 27 May to 18 June 2022.

The Rocks, Vivid Sydney, 88 Bars

"88 Bars" is an artwork along George Street at The Rocks, which is part of the Vivid Sydney festival. It was created by Sinclair Park and consists of 88 neon tubes in a glass box. It is a reminder of the landmark neon Coca Cola sign on William Street, which was one of the largest neon signs in the world and featured 88 neon bars. It was installed in 1974 but the neon was replaced with energy efficient LEDs in 2016. Other artworks can be seen behind it in First Fleet Park.

This view is from the Overseas Passenger Terminal looking towards the Circular Quay ferry wharves and Circular Quay railway station, rising up to the city skyscrapers with reflections in Sydney Harbour.

Bardwell Park, railway station

A late afternoon view of Bardwell Park railway station, in the southern suburb of Bardwell Park. The station opened in 1931 when the East Hills line opened from Tempe to East Hills. It is now served by Sydney Trains T8 Airport & South Line services.

The Landing Lights Wetlands are located in the southern suburb of Banksia. This area is named after its close proximity to the landing lights for nearby Sydney Airport.

Surry Hills, office

This residential building is located on the corner of Devonshire Street and Wilshire Street, in the inner city suburb of Surry Hills. It is the former office of Brackenbury & Austin Pty. Ltd, a machine tools factory next door. Both were redeveloped in 2020 into modern apartments with the Brackenbury & Austin script left on the facade of the office.

Surry Hills, light rail stop (Theme Day: Road)

The Surry Hills Light Rail Stop is located along Devonshire Street, in the inner city suburb of Surry Hills. It is part of the CBD and South East Light Rail Service, made up of the L2 Randwick Light Rail line and L3 Kingsford Light Rail line which run from Circular Quay. The light rail line has taken over this road with only one lane on the left reserved for traffic now.

Newington Armory, Murama Dance Ground

The Murama Dance Ground is a functional indigenous art installation at Newington Armory, in the western suburb of Sydney Olympic Park. It is located between the Wangal Walk and the Armory Leisure Fields and provides the community with a safe place to gather and participate in cultural and spiritual activities. There is a cauldron in the centre and four totem poles around the edge of the circle.

Newington Armory, art

Newington Armory is located at the end of Jamieson Street, in the western suburb of Sydney Olympic Park. Each of the four shields surrounding the boards feature different indigenous art.
