That entrance almost has an 'eastern' feel to it Jim, with the peaks on the gates and behind. Looks so well maintained.
The gates look beautifully designed and fit perfectly into the site. Do you have a date for those gates?
The whole garden area looks well maintained and a good place for an afternoon walk.
What a lovely looking garden and I love the gates! They're perfect against those gorgeous blue skies! Superb capture for the day, Jim! Enjoy your weekend!Sylvia
Hels, I haven't been successful in finding any history on these gates but I'll keep looking and let you know.
Keep forgetting it's winter where you are...amazingly blue skies! Wish we had skies like that more often in The Netherlands...Have a good weekend!Terrence looks at the sky
that is what i call an entrance.
I can see the castellated roof line of the Con in the far distance. These are lovely gates, great capture.
The gates are beautiful.

Gorgeous sky!My Sky Watch, have a happy weekend!
Such a pretty entrance, and I'm betting the gardens are spectacular. Have a nice weekend. Mickie ;)
Just found your blog. Love it
What lovely vivid colours!
The sprinkles of bright red flowers and green leaves against the clear blue sky are indeed very eye-catching.
Lovely blue sky and scene. Great shot!
I want to walk through those gates and see the other side, Jim. Lovely capture. Beautiful!
So much beauty, along with the sky. What a lovely place to visit!
I love the detail on these gates. I saw something equally complex out at Callan Park yesterday. I think a book could be worked up on the use of wrought iron in our city.
I have never noticed these impressive gates. Great photo.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Please leave me a message. Jim.
