Elizabeth Bay, house

This harbourside mansion is located along Ithaca Road, in the eastern suburb of Elizabeth Bay. It sits alongside Beare Park with views of Sydney Harbour. The house was originally built in 1926, with later additions in 1928, using both Georgian Revival and Spanish Mission architectural styles. In 1978 it was strata titled as four apartments.

    1. It's just down the road from Elizabeth Bay House, which I need to go back and photograph sometime in the morning because it's in the shadows for most of the day.

  2. May not be a mansion inside any longer, but it still looks very impressive from outside. And that's very good.

  7. I have a feeling that I wandered through this place just before it was strata titled! And I am sure that I remember extensive lawns fringed with gardens round it! An impressive, well preserved old building!

    1. That would have been great to see. There's a number of amazing estates there. Boomerang is a famous one right next door, whose owner once owned this mansion too.

  8. A very stately building.
«Louis» has enjoyed scrolling through your architectural tour. He had no idea the Spanish Mission style had migrated all the way to Australia!

  9. It is nice to stay at old Spanish architectural styles buildings. It is like you are being traveled into time. What a nice experience.
