This sign and lamp indicates the main entry to the historic neighbourhood of Sydney, known as The Rocks. It is located along George Street, next to First Fleet Park, at West Circular Quay. The Rocks was the original settlement area after the First Fleet arrived in 1788. In the distance you can just make out the sails of the Sydney Opera House.
