Botanic Gardens, water lily pond

This water lily pond is located in the Royal Botanic Gardens. While this man-made pond may not be that spectacular, the Nymphae White Star flowers it contains at this time of year are quite beautiful.

  2. It is more the shape of the pond that is disappointing, Jim. Give me the lily ponds at Centennial Park any day. I do however, adore lily ponds for the reflective opportunities they offer photographers. This pond today continues in that mould.

  6. We seem to think that al plant life sprouts from the land only. Not so...waterborne plants like these are very prolific too. Love the waterlilies and their flowers too...

  7. The pond does seem more like a very small canal, but those flowers floating there are quite delightful!
