    1. Thanks, Stefan. It became quite serious yesterday afternoon and even though they are quite a distance away, the whole city and suburbs were affected by smoke blowing over. Even this morning with cooler temperatures and many of the fires under control we can still smell smoke in the city.

  2. Magnificent sunset over my favourite bridge Jim.. Ditto what Steffe said, hard to believe the fires have started already, not even summer yet.

    1. Me too, Jack. It's a lot cooler today which helps but there are a lot of fires still burning out of control across the state today.

  13. What an exquisite photo.

I've been wondering about you reading the news about the wildfires. This disaster hits too close to home - we've had terrible wildfires where I live the last couple of years. The big one this summer burned within a few blocks of our house (we were evacuated), destroyed almost 500 homes very close to us, and killed two people. The big one last summer almost took my office building, which was evacuated for three weeks, and burned 350 homes in that part of the city. Good luck!

    1. Thanks, AI. I'm glad to hear you were alright. We've often had bushfires in Summer but these days with wilder weather conditions, they're fierce in early Spring too.
