Centennial Park, Duck Pond, fence

This decorative fence surrounds a viewing area which looks out across Duck Pond in Centennial Park. Located beside Parkes Drive, it features sculptures of ducks, frogs, snakes and dragonflies.

  3. Was the fence built to stop small children from tumbling into the water below?

If so, I am glad they made the fence decorative and attractive, rather than functional and ugly.

  4. I'd say so but there are unfenced areas around the pond too.
