Sculpture by the Sea is the annual outdoor sculpture exhibition currently on display on the two kilometre coastal walk from Bondi to Tamarama. "Time Frame" was created by Maggie MacFadyen and Griffen Lim. These red and yellow sculptures are located along the walkway and lookout barriers, with views to the Pacific Ocean and the beach at Tamarama.
I thought at first that I would find that installation annoying, cluttering up the view. But once you explained it as a set of frames, I became intrigued. It does make nice shadows, too.
ReplyDeleteI managed to catch some surfers in the red time frame too.
DeleteI like this sculpture a whole lot. Thanks for the photos and the explanation!
ReplyDeleteThese sculptures remind me of symbols we have on the Mornington Peninsula. They are placed near boating channels which enter into Port Phillip Bay. An interesting one.
ReplyDeleteGreat, different shadow shots for the day, Jim, and so colorful against your always beautiful blue, blue skies!!
ReplyDeleteNow, that is a cool installation! Not to mention, clever.
