King Street, Taronga Wild! Rhinos

This painted rhino sculpture is part of the "Taronga Wild! Rhinos" public art exhibition located around the city to raise awareness and funds for Taronga Zoo’s Black Rhino breeding program and conservation projects. It is located outside shops on the corner of King Street and Pitt Street. "Pacha" was created by Alison See, a designer for fashion label Camilla by Camilla Franks, which features clothing with these sorts of designs.

  2. Amazing "outfit"... kind of a folk one I presume, coloured in bright colors and so picturesque!

  8. Hi Jim,

This is a weird one; I looked hard to find the blue, but it's there! Thanks for sharing.

  10. I like the oranges and reds, and the feather headdress. Does Australian aboriginal dress influence this design or is it more Native American?

    1. Parts of the design is similar to Australian Aboriginal art but not all of it. The designer says she is a global wanderer, inspired by travels far & wide. So there could be Native American and African influences in there too.
