Sydney Opera House, ferry

Sydney Ferries operate on Sydney Harbour and its connected waterways. They make their way past the Sydney Opera House arriving at or departing from the Circular Quay ferry terminal. This Rivercat Class ferry is part of the fleet that cruises up the Parramatta River. It was acquired in 1995 and named after Nicole Livingstone, an Australian swimmer.

  1. Gorgeous Sydney shot. Did you take it from the top of the MCA?

    1. Valerie, it was taken from a bit further along, at the top of the Overseas Passenger Terminal.

  2. As William says, this is an iconic shot of the opera house and harbor, what we all think of first when we think of Sydney.

  3. Even though it is only the first days of October, it is already 32c here and I would love to be out on the water. Imagine sitting on the front of the ferry, watching the harbour and its landmark buildings go past.
