Santa Sabina College is a Catholic, Dominican, private school located along The Boulevarde, in the western suburb of Strathfield. The Santa Sabina Convent building, now the administration building, was designed by Sheerin and Hennessy and built in 1894 in the Dutch Renaissance architectural style.
I love it - it has such a stately style, drawing on many elements from old Europe. It has that look that demands reverence and respect!

Nice symmetry.
ReplyDeleteQuite unusual architecture Jim. I'm guessing those little green domes at the top are to protect the bells ?? maybe.
ReplyDeleteHi! Nice capture. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI have seen plenty of the Dutch Renaissance architectural style in other countries, but not very often in Australia. Santa Sabina College looks very proud.
