Art Gallery of New South Wales, The Questioning Column

'The Questioning Column' is an artwork that adorns a column outside the front entrance of the Art Gallery of New South Wales in The Domain. It was created by Sheila Hicks out of acrylic fibres for the 20th Biennale of Sydney, Australia's largest contemporary arts festival.

  1. Whenever I visit Sydney, I always allocate half of day to catch up with the most recent additions or changes to Art Gallery of New South Wales. The Questioning Column is, however, a more recent addition.

  2. That certainly changes to look of the columns in front of this building. Wonder how it would look in a strong wind?

    1. TFG, they are very heavy ropes so probably don't move much.
