Iron Cove Creek Bridge is at the intersection of Henley Marine Drive and Timbrell Drive at Dobroyd Point, in the inner west suburb of Haberfield. This cable bridge is 30 metres long and 4.5 metres wide spanning the Iron Cove Creek canal with a bi-directional separated cycleway and footpath connecting. It was built in 2015 and features a public art installation from local artist Angela Pasqua which acknowledges the local bird life.
The art works very well with this bridge. It's common here with such projects to incorporate public art.

Thanks, Carol. I had a few attempts to get this just right. If you look closely, it's small and in the distance, but there is also a pelican in the water which I wanted to include.

ReplyDeleteI like the symmetry in this shot! Question: what happens when there is two-way pedestrian and bike traffic?
ReplyDeleteStanley, it's wide enough for two way cycle traffic on the right and pedestrians on the left.
