This pergola is at the entrance to Carss Park Cottage, a sandstone cottage built in 1860 by William Carss. It is now a museum which sits in the middle of Carss Bush Park, in the southern suburb of Carss Park. The cottage and recreational area overlook Kogarah Bay and the Carss Park Tidal Baths.
Very nice, i Think it is a wonderful park

I must have forgotten the term, but I've seen similar structures here.
ReplyDeleteWilliam, you would probably call it a gazebo, I guess?
DeleteLooks like a very pleasant setting.
ReplyDeleteLovely
ReplyDeleteGreat pic and a creative bridge with birds, which are at every time coloured like the heaven.
ReplyDeleteVery very interesting! Thanks for sharing ! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if roses or some other kind of flowers or vines ever twined its way about the handsome pergola.
ReplyDeleteThe View from the Top of the Ladder
I'd say it would have had some sort of vine on it originally.
DeleteAm glad you gave it a title, because (at least in California) I am used to it that a pergola is longer and climbing plants with flowers grow against it. But it's a beautiful structure, and happy you chose to link it for All Seasons! Also my thanks for your kind comment on my weekly post. Enjoy your week!
