These restaurants and cafes along George Street in The Rocks have outdoor seating which extends beyond the footpath onto the road. The concrete safety bollards have been decorated with indigenous artwork. The alfresco dining which also reduced traffic was introduced in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic but due to its popularity has remained. The police station and Museum of Contemporary Art on the left and Sydney's newest skyscraper Salesforce Tower can be seen in the distance beside the EY Sweeney building.
Lunch under the umbrellas in summer is perfect.

ReplyDeleteWe went out for Mother's Day yesterday and we had the same experience in Sydney too.
