Botanic Gardens, Huntsman and Dogs

This statue in the Botanic Gardens is called 'Huntsman and Dogs' by French sculptor A. Jacquemart. It was cast by the Val d’Osne Company c. 1879 in ‘imitation bronze’ which is an iron casting on which copper has been deposited by electrolysis.

  1. The botanical gardens look beautiful and the monument on the previous post is awesome!

  2. In the 1970s I believe this statue was at a private residence in Ringwood, Victoria. Except it was on a higher pedestal with engraving on it. Can someone comment as to how long it has been in Sydney? Thank you.
