Darlinghurst, Oxford Square, drinking fountain

This canopied water fountain is located in Oxford Square, in the inner city suburb of Darlinghurst. It was one of eight highly ornamental drinking fountains brought to Sydney from Glasgow in 1870.

  1. It is really beautiful! It presents very well in the sunlight! Great capture!

  2. Just noticed this old post of yours. I am collecting images of this style fountain for a post about various water fountains all over the CBD. Great looking housing, isn't it?

  3. Yeah, I think it's brilliant. One of the most beautiful water fountains in Sydney.
