One of the bends in Haslams Creek at Homebush Bay. The viewing pier can be seen in the distance. Following some decent rainfalls, the grass is certainly green around the creek at the moment. It's amazing how different it was here, when we were in the middle of the drought.
Fresh green grass goes perfectly with the blue water. Perfect blue eye of water!
ReplyDeleteWhat a contrast in photos, so cool. Thanks for sharing.

Great landscape! The green and blue blends well!
ReplyDeleteGlad things are turning green in your parts. That is quite a contrast! The hills in California are now all brown...
ReplyDeleteThat's really pretty, beginning to think I should go out there and take a look. How do you get there - train or Rivercat?
ReplyDeleteThe train is probably best if you're going there by public transport Ann. It's a very long walk from the ferry wharf but there may be a bus service. You can drive out there when there aren't any sport events on and usually find a parking spot in one of the side streets that don't require a ticket.
ReplyDeletelovely place. colors are beautiful...love the shape of the creek.
ReplyDeleteSo very nice to see the green side by side with the blue of the water.
ReplyDeleteYa..I can see the difference..I like the view or landscape-
ReplyDeleteLooks great now.
ReplyDeleteNice scenery. Nice to see things are changing for the best.
ReplyDeleteLike a kind of oasis then!
ReplyDeleteLovely shot...... wouldn't guess by it that there was a drought!
Looks like a home from home as we generally have masses of water!
very calm on the waters that day. Like a mirror
ReplyDeleteIt looks so inviting, wonderful shot, J Bar...
ReplyDeleteYou got a lot more rainfall than we did, we are greened up but there are just little puddles in the dams.
ReplyDeleteNice shot and the shape of th bend is really nice.
Wow, what a difference between the two. Reminds me of how things are here. There's such a difference between when the hill are a deep, rich green and that golden brown. And still, both can be really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove that green grass and blue water...makes a great contrast..
ReplyDeleteCool shot !! :-)
Lovely photos. Mine is up as well. Hope to see you there!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Nita
We had lakes down in Georgia that were almost the cracked mud you would see out west. Now, they are doing well with the rain this spring.
ReplyDeleteLovely shot!
