More views of the Sydney Opera House during the Vivid Sydney festival between 28th May and 14th June. The artwork on the sails was photographed from the western side of Circular Quay around The Rocks or from the Overseas Passenger Terminal.
Ann, I have a feeling that the images were unique throughout the night but they probably ran the sequences again on other nights. I went down there on three different nights at different times but did see some of the images again on another night.
Jim, the Winter Festival has finished. It ran Thurs, Fri and last weekend. Interesting to see if they do it again. I haven't heard much positive about it - too crowded, wrong location, why bother etc. I wasn't terribly impressed though it did have some good photo ops.
Erica, it was part of Vivid Sydney, a new festival of light and sounds. This is the first year that they held it but are making it an annual event. There have been a few occasions in the past when coloured lights were installed on the Opera House sails or coloured light was projected on the sails but they haven't done anything as elaborate as this before.
Wow! Most of these are totally different to the ones that I saw. I wonder if they had a different set every night, or every hour or something.
ReplyDeleteI love these shots! They are so different from the usual Sydney Opera House shots. Thanks for sharing!
