These are two sections of a mural created by Roger Robinson Artwrx at Cook Park, in the southern suburb of Kyeemagh. 'Noise Wall Mural' was commissioned by Sydney Water to cover the concrete walls surrounding construction work for Sydney's desalination plant at Kurnell, currently in progress. These excerpts feature yachts on Botany Bay during the day and the moon and the Southern Cross constellation at night.
I like the moon/Southern Cross a lot. Blue and yellow are my fave colors.

ReplyDeleteOne can only thank you for providing such nice colours tonight. A bit wordless, allow me to wish you a peacefilled and nice Thursday.

I like the simplicity and relevance of these murals. Hopefully they also deter graffiti.
ReplyDeletediane, the walls have been up for a couple of years now while and they did seem to avoid the scourge of graffiti for the most part. Unfortunately someone tagged part of it recently and spoilt it. It was covered up but not very well, so unfortunately I couldn't show that section with the sun in it.
