Sydney Harbour, celebration

A scenic view of Sydney Harbour from the rooftop of the Glenmore Hotel at The Rocks yesterday, where we had a Sydney Bloggers Meeting. The boats on the harbour, the people on the Sydney Opera House steps and the helicopters in the sky were there in the afternoon to celebrate the return of Jessica Watson, the youngest person ever to sail solo, non-stop and unassisted around the world.

  1. Great welcome for a brave girl.
There are kids that age who don't even want to leave the house, let alone sail alone around the globe. Good on ya, Jessica!

  3. Heisann!

I have such creepy memories from the garden south of the Operea. My husband, sons and daughter in law were looked up inside the garden after closing time with all the bats flying over our heads. After passing the fence all around the park without finding an open gate, we had to climb over the high wall!
    Amasing shot!
    Have a nice week ;:OD)

  18. Julie, thanks for the detailed post on the Sydney Bloggers Meeting. I've provided a link to your blog in my post for anyone else who might be interested. It was great to meet so many fellow bloggers in person and learn a bit more about everyone. They also put on a great show for us with the celebrations on the harbour. :)
