Balmain, cafe

This cafe, deli and dessert shop is located on Darling Street, in the inner west suburb of Balmain. The old awning and balcony, which were characteristic features of many shopfronts in this suburb, were retained when this building was restored in 2000, when it then opened as a bakery cafe.

  6. lulumusing, yes people often sit on the balcony for lunch. I'm sure the sandwiches are great but the cakes look and taste delicious here.

  14. Love that they kept the original awning and balcony and restored it to the way it was. It is funny, but after all of your wonderful posts with the fabulous lights of Sydney, I miss them here. Still, this is a fine contribution this week. Genie
