Darling Harbour, Australian National Maritime Museum

These vessels are displayed at the Australian National Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour. The HMAS Vampire is a Daring class destroyer built in 1956. It served the Royal Australian Navy from 1959 to 1986. The HMAS Onslow is an Oberon class submarine built in 1968. Ir was decommissioned in 1999 but is still close to operational condition.

  5. They hardly seem old to me at all. I remember 1956, and 1968. '86 and '99 seem just like yesterday. Maybe I belong in a museum, too.
This is a super photo, Jim. I like it a lot.
