The annual RSL and Schools Remember ANZAC Commemoration Service was held yesterday at the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park. The service has been a collaboration between schools and the New South Wales Returned and Services League every year since 1953. These school children were keen to pat the horses ridden by the NSW mounted police.
I enjoy to meet such mounted police in parks...

Great photo!
ReplyDeletesaw this getting set up in the rain on Tuesday, they were luck they had good weather. Nice way to spend your lunch break out in the park..
ReplyDeleteYes, I wish I had known what time it started. I could have been there earlier for some shots of the service itself.
DeleteDon't they look "spiffy" all decked out in their uniforms. You were there at just the right time.
ReplyDeleteIt is a happy picture. Such calm and well-trained horses.
ReplyDeleteThat's what that was... I thought it was early prep for A-day! A real feelgood photo.
ReplyDeleteI can understand why these horses were so popular.
ReplyDeleteI have never had a school uniform. But I don't think I missed much. The riding police looks nice in their old uniforms.
ReplyDeleteNice shot, both the kids and the police look like they're having fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo!
