These terrace houses are located along Flinders Street, in the inner city suburb of Darlinghurst. These terrace houses have been built in the Victorian style architecture but painted in colours which are more usual with Federation style architecture. These colours had a revival in recent years but the trends now seem to be going towards more neutral colours such as greys and beiges.

Very nice. I also like the stop light in front of the building.
ReplyDeleteThe terraces are beautiful because of the care that has been lavished on them. But also because they have one more storey than is usual. So the gorgeous wrought iron lace is a third of the way up the height of the building, not half way.
ReplyDeleteThere are beautiful terraces in Darlinghurst and nearby Paddington.
DeleteBeautiful shot!
