Sydney Opera House (Theme Day: Details)

This abstract shot of the Sydney Opera House, which looks like a face, is from the western forecourt. I was inspired to take this photo by one of the winners of Little Sydney Lives, a photographic exhibition for children living in Sydney. It is part of the Art and About Sydney festival, with photographs currently exhibited around Sandringham Gardens in Hyde Park.

    1. Maybe the Opera House can transform itself into a giant robot when we're not looking. ;)

  4. Well, I certainly don't remember this face on the Sydney Opera House, but I shouldn't be at all surprised that it does have a face! Good shot, Jim.

  6. The Sydney Opera House is dramatic from a distance due to its unique shape, but the details of its angles and the patterns of its tiles are a treat that can be appreciated only close up.

    1. I have a greater appreciation of it in recent times. I'll try and get a photo of the tile work up close, next time I'm down there.
