Botanic Gardens, Wuganmagulya

"Wuganmagulya" is an artwork in the walkway along the shore of Farm Cove in the Royal Botanic Gardens. It was created by indigenous artist Brenda L. Croft in 2000 and comprises terrazzo and stained concrete insets into the pathway depicting figures such as this kangaroo, from Sydney rock carvings, some of which are now lost. The names of people, places, animals, tools and rituals from the many groups of Aboriginal people in the Sydney area are also etched along the kerb.

  2. Really interesting link to the artist Jim.. They have that 'archeological' feel to them, brilliant for future generations to find.
