Sydney Tower, the Stockland Piccadilly Complex and the MLC Centre, viewed past a palm tree in Hyde Park South. Sydney Tower is Sydney's tallest structure standing at 309 metres tall. It was completed in 1981 above what was then known as the Centrepoint shopping centre, now Westfield Sydney.
Great photo, beautifully composed.
ReplyDeleteI imagine the view from up there is splendid.
ReplyDeleteThe tower, the buildings and the palm tree are all reaching for the sky.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky with the tower.
ReplyDeleteAwesome tower against those blue, blue skies and a superb capture as always, Jim!! Thank you for sharing! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture! and such blue skies!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Happy Week ~ ^_^
Hi Jim, is the tower open to public? I am sure one will get a spectacular view of Sydney from that tower.
ReplyDeleteYes, Nancy it's a popular tourist attraction. There's a revolving restaurant up there, an Observation Deck and an outdoor walkway around the turret with glass-floor viewing platforms.
DeleteI was going to ask if it turned and if it had a restaurant in it, but you have already answered my question. The way you set up the shot is so nice. I like the tower being a bit off to the left instead of in the center. Nice.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot!
ReplyDeleteI love how you've framed this with the famous tower and the parallel palm tree.
ReplyDeleteThanks, AI. I tried it from a few different angles but this was my favourite shot.
