These surf rescue life guards are on the northern concrete promenadeat Clovelly Beach, in the eastern suburb of Clovelly. The swimmers are in Clovelly Bay and Coogee can be seen in the distance.
You can complete the SRC (Surf Rescue Certificate) from age 13 to be a Junior Lifesaver on patrol. You are not permitted on a surf boat until 16 and surf ski until 15.
Such a rugged looking place for a swim, but the view is spectacular.

Is there a sandy strip between the rocky surfaces and the water?
ReplyDeleteThere are rocks and a concrete promenade on either side of the bay and a small sandy beach between them.
DeleteLots of swimmers. How cold is the water? That first jump in always feels cold!
